What You'll Learn
Photovoltaic Professionals are required to maintain photovoltaic installations after they have been installed. This course attempts to equip learners on conducting maintenance procedures.
As part of the maintenance, learners will be instructed on how to run diagnostics, conduct inspections, fault identification techniques and common areas where faults may occur.
Performing maintenance requires learners to rectify identified faults. Learners will be instructed on repair methods, corrective maintenance principles and to perform repair on equipment/site according to maintenance procedures
Minimum Entry Requirement
Learners are assumed to be:
â— Knowledgeable of electrical engineering competencies
â— Minimum Entry Requirement: Diploma Polytechnic
â— Able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills System (ESS) level 5
â— Able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ESS level 5
â— Able to process numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ESS level 5
â— Possess at least 1 year working experience in engineering-related jobs
â— Possess broad knowledge of solar PV systems
SEAS shall assess the suitability of learners by requesting for their CVs.
Learners keen to join without the necessary pre-requisite knowledge and experience stated above may be assessed if they have other relevant experience to access the course, on a case-by-case basis.
