- Interpret solar PV system installation guidelines and/or procedures.
- Analyse and inspect solar PV system to prevent faults and issues.
- Apply commissioning procedures to ensure optimal performance of the solar PV system.
What You'll Learn
Photovoltaic Installation is a key skill for solar specialists. In order to set up a solar project, solar specialists would require a rigourous knowledge of guideline and installation procedures.
They would be required to be familiar with testing the set up of the equipment and optimise the setting up of photovoltaic systems.
Minimum Entry Requirement
Learners are assumed to be:
â— Knowledgeable of electrical engineering competencies
â— Able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills System (ESS) level 4
â— Able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ESS level 4
â— Able to process numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ESS level 4
â— Possess at least 1 year working experience in engineering-related jobs
â— Possess broad knowledge of solar PV systems and its design
â— Minimum Age of 21 and Above
â— Minimum of ITE equivalent and above
The TP shall assess the suitability of learners by requesting for their CVs.
Learners keen to join without the necessary pre-requisite knowledge and experience stated above may be assessed if they have other relevant experience to access the course, on a case-by-case basis.
