- Apply organisational code of conduct, organisational policies and procedures relating to legal and ethical practices in the delivery of healthcare services to clients and patients
- Perform work activities in reducing the transmission of infection to patients and protecting healthcare workers from healthcare associated infection
- Assist in mobilisation, ambulation, positioning and transfer of patients of stable patients in accordance to the organisational and workplace safety and health procedures.
- Support healthcare professional in performing clinical tests and procedures.
- Acquire the mindset, effective skills and strategies to collaborate and work well within a team of healthcare professionals.
What You'll Learn
The course aims to provide learners with the necessary knowledge and technical skills competency to support the roles as patient service associates. The goal is to ensure that they can provide safe and person-centred care to patients/clients in clinics and clinical ward setting. Additionally, the course includes general skills competencies to build personal attributes that enable them to work with others as part of a team. The course also focusses on upskilling competences to improve current job performances and to align to career progression. This also prepared the learners for the current needs of the healthcare industry.
Minimum Entry Requirement
- Obtained at least a C6 pass at GCE O-Level and N-Level in any 1 subject or equivalent, OR
- Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 4 (Speaking, Listening, Reading & Numeracy) and Level 3 (Writing)
- Certified medically fit for healthcare training and work by approved clinics
- Must clear HMI Institute's admissions screening process for the course
