The objective of the course is to equip learners with the skills and knowledge to understand the purpose of working with Teams, its principles, and the key characteristics of an effective team. In addition, learn how to relate effective communication with the participation of clients and families to maximize process and outcome. Not to be missed to understand how interprofessional education, health informatics, and technology can contribute towards a positive meaningful work culture.

LU1: Discuss Teams in health care, their principles, and their definition.
LU2: Explain the key characteristics of an effective team: its value, diversity, leadership, roles, and responsibilities.
LU3: Relate effective communication with the participation of clients and families to maximize process and outcome.
LU4: Describe how interprofessional education, health informatics,s and technology can contribute towards a positive meaningful work culture.
Minimum Entry Requirement
The required skills and knowledge for this course are as follows:
- Education:
o be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employ-ability Skills System (ESS) Literacy Level 4
o be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employa-bility Skills System (ESS) Literacy Level 4
o be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System (ESS) Numeracy Level 4
- have basic languages / dialects relevant to the target client group.
- Have prior working experience with older adults will be an added advantage
