This course aims to provide knowledge to publish and maintain informal websites for information sharing and discussion in a 'diary' style format with entries or 'posts' uploaded and updated in chronological order to drive brand perceptions and experience. At the end of this session, the learner should be able to execute policies and guidelines for blog and vlog content creation and report performance of blogging and vlogging efforts.

The reason why blogging or vlogging is so influential is because it gives a sense of transparency in communication for the consumers. They share information of value that people engage upon. The blog has long been one of the preferred tactics for content marketing strategies. Using a blog, company can easily publish a variety of different content, from written articles to infographics and more. With advancements in technology, the equipment we need to produce a vlog isn't as expensive to produce quality of video content stands out from the pack, that would be better demonstrated visually.
Minimum Entry Requirement
- Have a basic understanding of the blog or vlog guideline, standard operating procedures and regulation
- Be able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4
- At least to 1 years of experience in basic social media work in the internet, digital marketing, blog/vlog and media industry etc
- Have basic experience to on a different types of social media platform, tools and their operation e.g. YouTube, WordPress, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram etc.
- Basic knowledge rules and regulations and terms of use of specific social media platforms and IMDA act on media
- At least Secondary school education.
- Workplace Literacy, IT and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 4 or equivalent.
