Supervise Manufacturing Work for Workplace Safety and Health

• Explain and interpret salient WSH legislations and other requirements relevant to the manufacturing industry.
• Describe the WSH duties and responsibilities of a supervisor in manufacturing industry.
• Identify WSH hazards, evaluate and control risks in manufacturing industry in accordance with risk management process.
• Carry out WSH inspections in accordance with organisational inspection procedures.
• Implement WSH training and promotional programmes in accordance with legal and other organisational requirements.
• Conduct incident investigation and prepare report in accordance with legal requirements and other organisational requirements.

What You'll Learn

The purpose of this Competency Unit is to enable the WSH Coordinator or Supervisor from the industry to acquire the knowledge and be equipped with the application skills to supervise WSH in the construction industry. This Competency Unit is designed to focus on building the competency of the WSH Coordinator or Supervisor in identifying the common hazards and risks in the workplace and taking appropriate control measures in supervising WSH in the construction industry.
