This module uses a Part-to-Whole sequencing method from LU1 to LU6. Learners will first be introduced to the essential knowledge of strategic thinking and planning, its analysis of the business environment and modern theories of strategic thinking. This equips them to accelerate their cognitive and logical thinking before they practice the skill. Finally, they would learn how to develop strategic plans via strategic thinking.

What You'll Learn
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Illustrate the fundamentals of strategic thinking and planning including key concepts, the planning process, and fostering a culture of strategic mindset within organizations (K1, A2)
- Analyse the business environment by using various analysis methods to evaluate industry dynamics and competitive landscapes (K1, K2, A1, A2)
- Apply modern strategic thinking theories including interpreting strategic interactions, creating uncontested market spaces, and preparing for multiple future scenarios (K1, A1, A2)
- Develop strategic plans by setting a vision, conducting gap analyses, formulating strategies, and integrating ethical considerations into strategic planning (A2)
- Implement strategic plans by allocating resources, creating action plans with KPIs, overcoming implementation challenges, and monitoring and evaluating progress (K4, K5, A2,A3)
- Adapt strategic plans in dynamic environments by managing risks, responding to rapid changes and fostering continuous improvement (K3, A4, A5)
Minimum Entry Requirement
Learners are expected to have a minimum of:
- Able to read, write, speak and listen to English
- At least 1 year experience as a team leader or manager
