This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Security Sector.
The Recognise Terrorist Threats training programme will equip learners with essential knowledge and application skills and be able to apply them at their workplace. Learners will be able to be competent in the following areas:
- Describe contemporary terrorist threats
- Identify person-borne threats
- Identify vehicle-borne threats
- Identify object-based threats
What You'll Learn
Upon successful completion of this training programme, learners will be equipped with the essential skills and knowledge to identify suspicious activities involving person-borne, vehicle-borne and object-based threats at deployment sites. The learners will be trained to execute appropriate response to various terrorist threats swiftly, effectively and efficiently.
Minimum Entry Requirement
Learners should have a basic understanding of the organisation's site and legal requirements, vision, mission and values, service deliverables and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Learners are also assumed to
- have a sense of duty and responsibility on the job
- be disciplined and able to follow instructions given
Learners are expected to be between 21 to 65 years of age and come from a diverse background. Most of them should have a basic orientation towards providing security services and already have some experience in the security industry. A minority of the learners may be new to the industry or are considering a position in the industry.
Learners should be able to listen to, speak, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 3;
- use numeracy skills equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 3; and
- possess basic computer skills.
