This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Cleaning Sector.
Understand safety and health concerns at the workplace with the knowledge and skills required in participating in workplace safety and health management activities in environmental services industry.
The aim of the course is to train new cleaners / existing cleaners in following the organisational Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and guidelines in environmental services industry.
What You'll Learn
On completion of this unit, the participants will have knowledge and application skills in the workplace. This includes:
LO1 Understand the importance of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)
LO2 Identify the common risks and hazards involved in environmental services industry
LO3 Follow WSH risk control measures within the work area.
LO4 Report unsafe working conditions or work practices in accordance with organisational procedures.
Minimum Entry Requirement
Applicants should preferably:
a) be above 18 years of age;
b) Able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification Workplace Literacy Level (WPL) 2.
c) Secondary or lower education
d) Minimum 3 months of relevant work experience
