The training sessions themselves will consist of theoretical and hands-on session. The emphasis of the training is on practical aspects and application of the fundamental principles. The initial purpose is to introduce broad concepts on hydrological processes and link their relevance to practice.
The training course covers a range of foundational topics in Hydraulics, Hydrology and Geotechnical issues associated with design, risk and safety of earthfilll dams as well as hydrological considerations involved in design and monitoring of the dam, and simulation of propagation of flood waves.
