Post-Diploma Certificate in Principles of ENT Nursing (PDC1 of Specialist Diploma in Nursing (Ear, Nose and Throat) aims to prepare the learners in the following:
- provide an understanding of the contemporary principles and processes of cellular injury and inflammation which are the fundamental causes of most diseases, followed by an in-depth study of pathophysiology processes related to ear, nose and throat nursing.
- examine the importance of evidence-based practice (EBP) and the key influencing factors on the adoption of EBP in healthcare and nursing. It will equip the learners with knowledge and skills through critical appraisal and synthesis of research evidence in a systematic approach.
- focus on the assessment and identification of problems associated with the ear and nose.
What You'll Learn
Post-Diploma Certificate in Principles of ENT Nursing (PDC1 of Specialist Diploma in Nursing (Ear, Nose and Throat) has a total of 135 hours, covering the following modules:
- Applied Pathophysiology and Pharmacology in ENT Nursing (45 hrs)
- Evidence-Based Practice (45 hrs)
- Ear and Nose Disorders (45 hrs)
Minimum Entry Requirement
- A Diploma in Nursing from a local Polytechnic or an equivalent
qualification
- Registered nurses with valid practising certificate from the Singapore
Nursing Board (SNB)
- Registered nurses with one-year post-registration experience and a minimum of 6 months of the discipline of study
