The Post-Diploma Certificate in Principles and Science of Nephro-Urology Nursing course will offer the following modules:

• Applied Pathophysiology and Pharmacology in Nephro-Urology Nursing (60 hours)
• Health Assessment and Clinical Decision-Making (45 hours)
• Care of Client with Acute Kidney Injury (60 hours)
• Care of Client with Urological Disorders (60 hours)

Total Training hours: 225

What You'll Learn

At the completion of the PDC, learners will be able to:

• Explain the disease process of complex nephro-urology disease states in relation to general and systemic pathological concepts;
• Explain pharmacological management of clients with complex nephro-urology diseases with reference to key concepts of pharmacology;
• Perform physical examination to make appropriate clinical decision and interventions by using a systematic approach;
• Plan for care of client with complex nephro-urology diseases using systematic, comprehensive and focused approach; and
• Demonstrate competency in the requisite skills for clients with complex problems associated with the disorders of the nephro-urology system according to evidence-based clinical guidelines.

Minimum Entry Requirement

• Diploma in Nursing from a local Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification;
• Singapore Nursing Board registration;
• 2 years post registration experience with a minimum of 1 year in the discipline of study.
