Post-Diploma Certificate in Principles and Practice of Clinical Education (PDC1 of Specialist Diploma in Clinical Education) aims to prepare the learners in the following subject matter:

What You'll Learn
The course is catered to registered nurses meeting the specific minimum entry requirements. Attending trainees are able to provide clinical education to the targeted groups of nursing students.Â
The course provides participants with training that will prepare them for the supervision of nursing students in the pre-registration and post-registration courses.
The course will be offered part-time over 25 weeks, with academic lessons held once a week (6 hours/week) and practical modules will be conducted full time from Monday to Friday on the last two weeks of each PDC (140 hrs/PDC)
Minimum Entry Requirement
The admission requirements are:
Entry Requirements for PDC 1:
- A registered nurse practising in the clinical setting
- A minimum of 3 years' clinical experience
- A nursing degree and/or an advanced diploma or post-graduate diploma in nursing
- Supported by the employer
Entry Requirements for PDC 2:
- A registered nurse practising in the clinical setting
- An advanced diploma or post-graduate diploma in nursing
- 2 years of post-advanced diploma/post-graduate diploma work experience
- Supported by the employer
- Completed the Post-Diploma Certificate in Principles and Practice of Clinical Education of the Specialist Diploma in Clinical Education or a recognised Hospital Clinical Instructor/Supervisor course.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):
RPL is granted to participants who have completed a recognized Clinical Instructor course conducted by their organizations and have worked as clinical instructors. They may be granted exemption for related modules or PDC1.
