The Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Community Health) course will offer the following modules:
(1) Advanced Community Health Nursing Clinical Practice 1 (200 hours)
(2) Advanced Community Health Nursing Clinical Practice 2 (200 hours)
Total training hours: 400
What You'll Learn
At the completion of the PDC, learners will be able to:
(1) Provide appropriate nursing care for older adults and clients with complex health conditions in community settings using appropriate nursing assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team;
(2) Demonstrate competence in essential community health nursing skills following criteria specified in the competency assessment rubrics; and
(3) Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking in relation to the care of clients and clinical context.
Minimum Entry Requirement
- Diploma in Nursing from a local Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification;
- Singapore Nursing Board registration;
- 2 years post registration experience with a minimum of 1 year in the discipline of study.
