- implementing best practices for network design, implementation and monitoring, with the aim of providing a robust security network within and outside of the enterprise.
- implementing and integrating authentication and authorization technologies into applications to enhance security.
- understanding the issues, technologies and practices associated with the protection of data through data governance, digital rights management and privacy practices. Learners will also be introduced to emerging technologies which may impact the cybersecurity domain.
- implementing techniques and use tools to extract intelligence from data and other sources to manage cyber threats. These will be used to design and implement mitigations against potential threats.

Minimum Entry Requirement
The proposed course is offered as an open-enrolment courses (non-WSP). Applicants should be degree graduates in IT (or equivalent) or Polytechnic diploma graduates in IT (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years' relevant working experience.
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on:
(i) Evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience; OR
(ii) Supporting evidence of competency readiness.
Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
