Post-Diploma Certificate in Advanced Concepts in Mental Health Nursing (PDC3 of Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health)) aims to prepare the learners on the following:

acquire knowledge and skills for effective multidisciplinary management of chronic diseases for adults in the primary, acute and intermediate long-term care (ILTC) settings.
examine the importance of evidence-based practice (EBP) and the key influencing factors on the adoption of EBP in healthcare and nursing.
provide the learners with advanced knowledge and fundamental skills

in counseling and in dealing with group processes.

examine the contemporary issues in mental health nursing in addition to providing learners with the knowledge in community mental health nursing.

Post-Diploma Certificate in Advanced Concepts in Mental Health Nursing (PDC3 of Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health)) covers the following modules with a total of 210 training hours:

Care Management Across Life Span (45 hrs)
Evidence-Based Practice (45 hrs)
Advanced Psychotherapeutic Interventions in Mental Health Nursing (60 hrs)
Mental Health Problems in Elderly and Care Transition (60 hrs)

Minimum Entry Requirement

Diploma in Nursing from a local Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification;
Singapore Nursing Board registration;
2 years post registration experience with a minimum of 1 year in the discipline of study.
