This Post-Diploma Certificate in Advanced Concepts in Mental Health Nursing course will offer the following modules:
(1) Evidence-Based Practice (45 hours)
(2) Advanced Psychotherapeutic Interventions in Mental Health Nursing (60 hours)
(3) Mental Health Problems in Elderly and Care Transition (60 hours)

What You'll Learn
At the completion of the PDC, learners will be able to:
(1) Apply evidence in mental health nursing in the development of mental health nursing practices using principles of evidence-based practice and appropriate appraisal framework;
(2) Apply knowledge and skill of counselling in clients with mental health conditions and families with reference to appropriate psychotherapeutic interventions and guidelines;
(3) Plan for care of elderly mental health clients with complex conditions in mental health settings using a systematic, comprehensive and focused approach; and
(4) Explain the management for clients with mental health conditions in community setting with reference to community mental health models and frameworks.
Minimum Entry Requirement
- Diploma in Nursing from a local Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification;
- Singapore Nursing Board registration;
- 2 years post registration experience with a minimum of 1 year in the discipline of study.
