The Post-Diploma Certificate in Advanced Concepts in Medical-Surgical Nursing course will offer the following modules:
(1) Evidence-Based Practice (45 hours)
(2) Advanced Medical-Surgical Nursing for Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary and Renal Disorders (60 hours)
(3) Advanced Medical-Surgical Nursing for Endocrine, Autoimmune, Integumentary Disorders (60 hours)

What You'll Learn
At the completion of the PDC, learners will be able to:
(1) Apply evidence in medical-surgical nursing in the development of nursing practices using principles of evidence-based practice and appropriate appraisal framework;
(2) Perform physical assessment for appropriate clinical decisions and interventions using a systematic, comprehensive and focused approach;
(3) Plan for care of client with complex multisystem conditions in medical-surgical setting using a systematic, comprehensive and focused approach; and
(4) Demonstrate competency in the requisite skills for complex problems and surgeries of clients in medical-surgical setting according to evidence-based clinical guidelines.
Minimum Entry Requirement
- Diploma in Nursing from a local Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification;
- Singapore Nursing Board registration;
- 2 years post registration experience with a minimum of 1 year in the discipline of study.
