Students will learn practical aspects of cloud computing using widely available cloud platform. By the end of the module, students will be able to build secure cloud infrastructure.
What You'll Learn
This module is part of the Modular Certificate in Software Operations and Solutioning conducted by Republic Polytechnic.
This module covers the fundamental concepts of operating systems and cloud computing through a practical, hands-on approach. Students will explore operating system components and the various cloud computing models. Powershell and bash scripting to automate system administration tasks will also be covered in this module.
Minimum Entry Requirement
O Levels
At least three (3) 'O' Level passes in the following subjects:
o English Language (EL1 or EL2) Grade 1 "“ 7
o Any Science subject Grade 1 "“ 6
o Any one (1) relevant subject subject Grade 1 "“ 6 *
And at least one (1) year relevant work experience
NITEC
- GPA ≥ 3.5
OR
- GPA ≥ 3.0 AND at least one (1) year relevant work experience
Higher NITEC
- GPA ≥ 2.0
OR
- GPA ≥ 1.5 AND at least one (1) year relevant work experience
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least two (2) years of relevant working
experience
- Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) (Level ≥ 6) may be accepted as equiv
alent GCE 'O' Level English Language and Mathematics requirements.
