Master of Science (Audiology)

On completion of the course, students will obtain a strong theoretical foundation of hearing sciences, develop practical competencies and possess a good appreciation of the following:

• Assessment, diagnosis, and management of hearing impairment and disordered auditory related systems in adults and children.
• Assessment, diagnosis, and management of balance dysfunctions in adults.
• Hearing aid evaluation, verification, and validation for adults and children.
• Programming in implantable devices (e.g. cochlear implant, bone anchored hearing aids, and middle ear implant) for adults and children.
• Research skills necessary for service development and evaluation.
• Basic counseling skills for working with hearing impaired individuals and families.
• Communication skills for multi-disciplinary teamwork.
• Public health challenges and effective hearing care.
• Uniquely Singaporean and Asian education, research and clinical focuses.
• Strong spirit of excellence, continued learning, innovation and community service.

What You'll Learn

This Masters of Science ( Audiology) is a 2-year full-time coursework based programme. The maximum candidature for this programme will be 48 months. Extension of candidature beyond the standard 24 months will be charged on a module basis.
