The learning objective of the WSQ Diploma in Social Service is to train individuals who have no prior experience in the sector but already working in the Social Service sector, particularly but not limited to, the Community Care spaces like Senior Activity Centres / Active Aging Centres / Active Aging Care Hubs, to work with and manage volunteers & clients with professionalism. On top of that, he/she will develop and implement programmes to suit the needs of the clients.

Module 8: Lead Social Service Programmes Implementation (SSC-PMT-4024-1.1)
- Implement and monitor fundraising programme to ensure the programme objectives were met
These modules are mapped to:
- K1 Best practices and strategies to adapt programmes
- K2 Causes for client disengagement in programmes
- K3 Relevant associations, government, community and private sector organisations
- K4 Methods to build community stakeholder support for programmes
- A1 Adapt programmes and services to suit needs of client or programme objectives
- A2 Develop strategies to address causes for client disengagement
- A3 Monitor the allocation and sufficiency of resources for successful programme execution
- A4 Utilise networks within the community and social service organisations to extend support and participation in programmes
Minimum Entry Requirement
Our target audience are those who are 25 years old and above with at least 3 years of working experience in any industry. The required skills and knowledge for this course are as follows:
- Minimum GCE A' Level / Diploma and/or able to read, write, listen and speak of English to a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5; and count to a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 5
- Able to operate a personal desktop computer / laptop with Level 2 basic computing and applications skills
- Be motivated to learn and possess positive attitude towards work and commitments.
- Have interest in community and social work.

- No prior experiences required.
