Diagnostic Visual Analysis Using Tableau

In this course, participants will acquire skills to analyse data visually using Tableau. It will cover theories on data sensemaking (how to interpret data), structuring and validating hypotheses, and thereafter turning findings and insights into a consistent and connected story (i.e. data storytelling). Through group work and hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to perform visual diagnosis on a domain-friendly dataset, and provide next-step recommendations based on the findings and insights.

What You'll Learn

At the end of the 3-day course, participants will be able to:

• Interpret data and undertake data sensemaking through the use of the right visual vocabulary
• Formulate and validate hypotheses to tease out potential insights
• Turn data insights into a coherent and connected visual narrative (i.e. data storytelling)

Minimum Entry Requirement

Participants should have attended Module 1 and also preferably Module 2 or have basic proficiency in using Tableau.
