This WSQ Care Assistance course is tailored to equip family members, domestic helpers and those who intend to become professional Basic Care Attendants, Caregivers and Healthcare Assistance. Through classroom interactive teaching, practice and assessment, participants can gain fundamental caregiving knowledge and skillsets to provide care and comfort to the care recipient without compromising safety.
What You'll Learn
Upon completion of WSQ Care Assistance course, participants will be equipped with relevant skillsets such as managing activities of daily living, movement and transfer, first aid and nursing processes. Certified personnel will have a competitive advantage in healthcare workforce and provide the best care and support for their patients and care recipients.
Minimum Entry Requirement
Learners must be above 18 years of age and be able to:
- English at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills (ES) Level 4
- Physically fit to perform caregiving and nursing processes
- Self-directed with high level of motivation, caring for others and passion to serve
- Candidates with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis
