The Healthcare market in Singapore is developing a network of community care system to meet the changing and varied needs of the population, especially the seniors living in a rapidly ageing society. In tandem, a new healthcare need is emerging in the community care sector to help seniors live well and age gracefully at home and in the community.
This course is to fulfil the role performance expectations in community care to be able to assist in implementing interventions under supervision in mobility, lifting, transferring, and positioning. It includes training on activities of daily living and environmental setup
What You'll Learn
In this course the participants will be able to assist client with wheelchair mobility correctly and safely, thus adopting safety precautions and fall prevention during mobility activities. They learn to escort clients safely to and back from external appointment.
Participants are able to support the therapist during activities of daily living training with clients correctly and safely
