What You'll Learn
This dynamic workshop will help you master the subtle art of 'reading the room'. You will acquire strategies such as 'the pause' for finding the right moment to speak up, and 'assertive communication' to express views confidently and respectfully. You will also learn strategies like 'round robin' participation or apply the 'step up, step back' principle. We will engage in hands-on activities and role-playing exercises in Technical and Operations work contexts to simulate meeting scenarios. You will learn what makes an effective meeting and to sense the right moment to speak, contribute your ideas and insights, positively influence the course of the discussion, and foster an inclusive environment. A short role-play assessment will evaluate your skills, and personalised feedback will be given to guide your progress.
