Post Diploma Certificate in Essential Clinical Knowledge in Palliative Care – Part of Specialist Diploma in Palliative Care Nursing (SDPCN)

It also addresses the role of palliative care in non-cancer illnesses, focusing on end-stage organ failure. Additionally, the program enhances communication and psychosocial skills essential for oncology and palliative care nurses, emphasizing psychosocial interventions and support strategies.

What You'll Learn

PDC in Essential Clinical Knowledge in Palliative Care has 4 modules:

• Common Cancers (40 hours)
• Pain and Symptom Management (27 hours)
• Palliative Care in Non-Cancer Illness (25 hours)
• Communication and psychosocial skills (30 hours)

Minimum Entry Requirement

• A local Polytechnic Diploma/ Degree in Health Sciences (Nursing) or equivalent
• Be a Registered Nurse with valid practicing certificate from the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
• Preference will be given to applicants working with patients at the end of life or palliative care settings
• Successful applicants will need to undergo a compulsory medical examination and vaccinations before semester starts.
