The learners will know the legal and ethical considerations relating to communication at a job interview. They will be familiar with the types of organisational culture, its suitability to themselves and the under-lying factors impacting the decision-making process of hiring an employee in an organisation. Learners will also be equipped with the knowledge of future models of employment and the gig economy.
Skills
The learners will have the skill of addressing potential barriers due to differences in culture between the organisation and themselves. For a job interview, they will acquire the skill of using appropriate com-munication styles that is aligned to the culture of the organisation. This includes the use of active listen-ing to ensure mutual understanding of messages received and explaining how their knowledge, skills and attitude is aligned with the company's Vision, Mission and Values to facilitate the decision-making process.
