A project designed for students to demonstrate their ability to assess and prescribe appropriate exercises will be developed with the employer and it is expected to be executed at the workplace.
What You'll Learn
This module is part of the Modular Certificate in Promoting Health Through Exercise.
This student led project will enable students to apply their knowledge and skills to promote health through various aspects of exercise. Students on the WSP track will be involved in an On-the-Job training at the place of employment.
Minimum Entry Requirement
O Levels
- 3 relevant passes; and
- At least 1 year relevant work experience
Higher Nitec
- GPA ≥ 2.0; or
- GPA ≥ 1.5 and at least 1 year relevant work experience
Nitec
- GPA ≥ 3.5; or
- GPA ≥ 3.0 and at least 1 year relevant work
Higher Nitec in Technology / Services
- GPA ≥ 2.0 and at least 1 year relevant work experience
Nitec in Technology / Services
- GPA ≥ 3.5 and at least 1 year relevant work experience
WSQ
- Relevant WSQ Advanced Certificate (or higher); and
- At least 1 year relevant work experience; and
- Level 6 WSQ Workplace Literacy SOA and Workplace Numeracy SOA
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 2 years of relevant working experience. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
